Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Sandblasting Foreman located at our facility in Lloydminster, Alberta.  This position has the responsibility of the day-to-day operation of the sandblasting department.  Scope includes sandblasting, direct supervision of subordinate workers, care and condition of facilities and equipment, and cooperation/collaboration with other shifts and departments.


  • Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
  • Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies, procedures and safe work practices
  • Ensure blasting staff are properly trained to execute duties in an efficient, profitable and safe manner
  • Oversee regularly scheduled maintenance
  • Use sandblasting equipment with specified media
  • Use and service of equipment associated with sandblasting
  • Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting requirements are met
  • Responsible for the compliance with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals


  • 5+ years of working experience in a sandblasting environment
  • NACE Coating Inspector Level 1/2/3 would be an asset
  • Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating
  • Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
  • Understanding of coating products, application methods, equipment and procedures
  • Ability to give and take clear direction, verbal and written
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills including conflict management and negotiation
